There have been issues with Apex Legends following the launch of Season 9. The new season is called Legacy, and it introduces a character named Valkyre, and it also introduces a battle mode called arena where it features a three-versus-three deathmatch battle. Not everything has been smooth with the update, such as players dealing with having their characters locked, even if they purchased them, and the Apex Legends store. There are a few problems for players who are attempting to use the store to purchase currency or the battle pass....

A QA tester recently leaked an image for the Nintendo Wii U, showing the changes that have been made to the system’s tablet controller. The revised edition of the controller noticeably has more traditional analog sticks, in contrast to the 3DS style offering that has been shown thus far. Other changes to the design of the controller show that Nintendo has re-thought the placement of the start and select buttons for the device, and moved them off to the right side....

Fan feedback helped bring the features to mobile Microsoft recently launched a new update for the Xbox mobile app. The update includes new features and improvements based on user feedback. April’s app update specifically targets achievement tracking and leaderboards. In March, the Xbox app began testing achievements within the app after users requested the return of the feature. Now everyone will have access to achievements on the app. The first rollout of the achievement feature includes a detailed achievement screen plus notifications when an achievement has been unlocked....

Great news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as the service is finally now supporting the option to pre-load your titles ahead of their launch. The first game to be supported by the initiative is Crackdown 3, which is launching on February 2019 for Xbox One and Windows 10. Anyway, it won’t be the only game to support it, as December’s Mutant Year Zero is going to be pre-loadable in time for the release....

The Xbox One backwards compatibility list continues to grow, as today we learn that four more games have been added to the over 300 that are already available. While this most recent batch of games definitely isn’t one of the biggest released, it at least has something that fans of the Street Fighter series will be happy about. The upcoming update for Xbox One looks to be a big one with tons of new features and small tweaks to make your gaming experience better. In order to make up for this, Xbox has announced that the Summer Game Fest, which will showcase demos for over 60 titles, will take place later this month.
