NPD data for December 2017 isn’t out in the wild just yet, but a new set of tweets from Xbox’s head of Marketing Aaron Greenberg gave us the top selling console order, at least. While the Xbox One didn’t take top honors, they did beat out their chief rival, the PS4. “Thank you to everyone who helped support Xbox One this holiday, NPD just reported our highest Xbox One December console share ever, looking forward to a big 2018,” said Greenberg....

The big closer at Microsoft’s E3 conference for the Xbox One was a glimpse into the future with a short video officially announcing that they were working on what is currently known as Project Scorpio. Information about the Scorpio has been pretty few and far between, but one feature promoted initially has now been removed from the official website. During the announcement video for the Scorpio, a number of different features were mentioned, such as the system having 6 teraflops of power, 8 CPU cores, 320 GB/s memory bandwidth, and obviously the ability to do 4K gaming....

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has been officially announced as the lead for Wonder Man, the latest Marvel superhero series to land on Disney+. Abdul-Mateen, who has won an Emmy Award as Dr. Manhattan in HBO’s Watchmen (2019), will star as the titular hero in the new series, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will appear as Simon Williams, who – in the Wonder Man comics – is the son and heir of Williams Industries, a direct competitor of the more powerful Stark Industries....

Sega has posted a new trailer of Yakuza Kiwami focused on showcasing its gameplay features, such as a variety of combat styles, and a wide selection of minigames. You can see examples of the brawler, beast, rush, and dragon varieties of fighting, as well as minigames based on playing cards, mahjong, dating, arcade fighting, karaoke, pool, and more. In Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pincurchin is an Electric-type, which makes it weak against Ground-types, and strong against Flying and Steel-types.
