Those looking to unlock the new M13B Assault Rifle of Warzone 2.0 will need to complete the quest: “defeat the Chemist in the radiation zone of DMZ and extract his dropped weapon.” For those unfamiliar, the Chemist is an AI-controlled Stronghold Boss within the Al Mazrah map that will appear when playing the extraction game mode, DMZ. This enemy has significantly more HP than normal players and even has his own squad to protect him while he patrols the premises. Accordingly, to find this boss, players must venture into the noxious radiation zone of Al Mazrah on DMZ.

Finding the Chemist in Warzone 2.0 DMZ

The Chemist’s radiation zone location in Al Mazrah of Warzone 2.0 DMZ is marked on the map with a purple radiation symbol inside a yellow circle. The exact spot where this circle spawns is randomized, so players will need to pull up their in-game map to see where they should head upon entering the game in Warzone 2.0.

How to Ping in Call of Duty: Warzone 2

Based on gameplay footage by YouTuber MrDalekJD, the radiation zone in DMZ is a dangerous area, not only because of the Warzone 2.0 Chemist and his goons. The zone is filled with a toxic gas that will deal DoT to any player character within its vicinity; therefore, it is essential that combatants find and don a gas mask before entering the yellow radiated circle. The Chemist does not have his own map marker but will spawn in a random spot within the circle. Moreover, he does not stand guard in one location but will walk around, patrolling the zone with his minions.

Once players have found the Chemist in Warzone 2.0 DMZ, they will need to be cautious, as unloading an entire magazine on this Stronghold Boss will likely not kill this enemy. The Chemist is heavily armored and can both give and endure a substantial amount of damage. Thus, taking on this foe with teammates is advised. Once the Chemist goes down, the squad members must decide who gets to extract with the M13B, as only one player can leave with the Assault Rifle. After the extraction has been completed, this player will unlock the M13B in their arsenal for future use.

Warzone 2.0 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
