TV personality, Whoopi Goldberg was absent from Monday’s episode of The View. The Hollywood star did not show up due to her recent  COVID-19 diagnosis. Whoopi Goldberg Revealed Her Diagnosis Via Livestream

Whoopi Goldberg told her colleagues about her COVID-19 diagnosis via live stream. Also, she shared that she had mild symptoms during the break and took some time off the show to rest, but results have shown the cause of the symptoms. Per Yahoo, the Hollywood star’s colleague on The View, Sara Haines, has been supportive as she took over as the moderator during her absence. The TV host, Sarah Haines, was also joined by Sunny Hostin and other new co-hosts like Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin. According to the outlet reports, Joy Behar, the moderator of the discussion part of The View show, was also absent. Her absence was because she was already scheduled to be off the show this week.

This Is The Second Time Goldberg Has Tested Positive For Covid-19

This is not the first time Goldberg will be testing positive for Covid. The Ghost Of Mississippi star first tested positive for the virus in January. Following her diagnosis, the Soapdish actress missed several episodes of the show after the Christmas holiday break.

More so, The Jumpin’ Jack Flash actress revealed that she was very shocked after the diagnosis because she has followed every precautionary measure to avoid contracting the virus the second time. “It was a shock because I am triple-vaxxed and haven’t been anywhere. I have not done anything. It’s one of those things where you think you have done everything you are supposed to do yet it doesn’t stop the omicron”. Goldberg said. However, the Color Purple star has taken some time off work to rest and recover fully.
