The GameCube adapter for the Nintendo Wii U has been one of the most sought after gaming items of the last few months, alongside the variety of rare amiibo and even lately The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Limited Editions that sold out insanely fast. With all of these, we’ve tried to keep you informed about how to find any that pop up in-stores or online, with the latest method for the GameCube adapter being a little different.
As first pointed out on Reddit and then backed up by many members on Reddit and CAG who were successful at least with ordering it, it may be possible to get an order in for a Wii U GameCube adapter from within a Best Buy store. While you almost certainly will not find one on the shelf in a store or for sale directly on the website, you may have some luck by getting customer service to order one from you in-store, granted that store’s particular warehouse has any. The following steps were given by the Redditor as to how to go about checking to see if you can get it from your local store.
Go to your local BestBuy
Go to customer service desk
Tell them you want to place an OMS order from the warehouse for SKU#7522006 (in the US) or Code Web#10172249 (in Canada)
If they still don’t know what you’re talking about ask them to launch order management system from POS and follow the on screen prompts. Every best buy has access to these. (thanks u/ReplyYouDidntExpect)
Have it shipped to your house for free
