As players rush to enter the brand-new Dragon Isles zone, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight‘s servers are disconnecting. If you’ve attempted to play World of Warcraft Dragonflight, you may have encountered the “WoW server is down” error and been expelled from the game. Blizzard has confirmed that the server issues mentioned earlier in a tweet prevent access to the Dragon Isles.
What Happened to WoW Dragonflight’s Servers
Both factions can travel to the Dragon Isles by zeppelin or boat from their major cities. Unfortunately, the boats and zeppelins arrive later than expected, and if you eventually catch one, you risk being kicked out of the game. In addition, when you exit a game, the game may make it difficult to re-enter by returning a “World server is down” warning and locking players to loading screens.
Hey Paul. The same issues we tweeted about earlier are affecting transports to the Dragon Isles. These issues are actively being worked on by the World of Warcraft team, and we’ll share updates once resolved. ^KAL

Players have been claiming that “everything is wrong and won’t load” and that they have experienced “mind-numbing latency,” which has been dubbed “worst launch in history” by one fan on the WoW forums.
Blizzard often replies to login issues swiftly via its forums or through its Blizzard customer support Twitter account. And lately, “These issues are actively being worked on by the World of Warcraft team, and we’ll share updates once resolved,” it tweeted.
Queue times are the worst for everyone who plays on a heavily packed server. Therefore, whenever you join the game, you can see the realm list or the realm status page to observe the current population.
Make sure to have some spare time to wait as soon as the expansion is up. These are some of the times:
- Los Angeles (PST) – 3.00p.m on November 28
- Brazil (BRT) – 8.00p.m on November 28
- Paris (CET) – 12:00a.m on November 29
- Sydney (AEDT) – 10.00a.m on November 29
This is a bad beginning, given Dragonflight’s pressure after Shadowlands. Some people have already stated on the forums that they’re prepared to stop using the service. However, we hope Blizzard will balance the servers and restart operations.
