The Xbox One is getting a price cut in the UK, “to match the outperforming PlayStation 4”, according to a BBC Report. Just three months after the launch of the console, will see a price drop from £429 to £399, and purchasers will get a copy of Titanfall in the deal.

“Now just feels like the right time to make the adjustment on the price,” said Eagle. “We’re committed to giving gamers the best value that we can.”

This will come as somewhat of a disappointment for those who lined up to pay full price for the console just a couple of months ago, but by many accounts, Sony is dominating Microsoft in sales between the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The price cut will likely help Microsoft stay competitive with Sony. Right now, the PlayStation 4 is available without a pack-in game at £349 in the UK. The price cut would seemingly put both consoles on equal footing.

It’s unclear if other regions will see a similar price cut in the coming months.
