The long-awaited adaptation of the critically-acclaimed comic book series, Y: The Last Man, has officially finished filming. With many societal struggles holding back progress, a producer on the show expressed relief and love with an Instagram post.
Farewell and Thank You: The Last Man Producer Shares Final Filming Post
Y: The Last Man producer Mari Jo Winkler shared an Instagram post featuring some artwork with a cotton swab. “Y: The Last Swab” the picture reads, with a hand firmly gripping a cotton swab in regards to the COVID-19 testing sessions. The caption reads: “Happy Last Swab. Last day of shooting Y:THE LAST MAN. 135 days of shooting in a pandemic. Streaming September 13th FX on Hulu.” She then included the hashtags #ythelastmam and #wedidit at the end.
Writer and producer Eliza Clark also shared an Instagram post that features several members of the cast. Everyone is posing for a smile, with the caption expressing appreciation for all the work that has been accomplished. Those featured in the picture include Diane Lane, Missi Pyle, Marin Ireland, Ben Schnetzer, and a few others.
Ben Schnetzer plays Yorick Brown, the last man on Earth. In a world ruled by women, the series follows Yorick and his pet monkey Ampersand as they navigate through a world without males. The comic book series won the 2008 Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series.
